Road Damage on Smokin Pistol

A large pothole has developed on Smokin Pistol between Golden Vista and Cownman’s Trail. After an initial investigation, we suspect this is due to subsurface erosion of the roadbed leading to that portion of the asphalt being unsupported. A heavy vehicle driving over it (probably a garbage truck) caused the unsupported surface to collapse, leaving a disturbingly large hole. Water appearing in the hole leads us to believe that the source of the erosion may be a leaking water main. [Read More]

Annual Meeting Notice

The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Starr Ridge Homeowners Association will be held Thursday, March 7th at 6pm at Mount Zion Lutheran Church (4520 W Ajo Way). As of the January 15, 2024 deadline, the final vote count in favor of asserting a legal claim against Starr Ridge, LLC and/or Herder & Herder LLC exceeds the required two-thirds of eligible voters. Thank you for your participation.

Landscape Meeting

Marcia and David met with Fernando, our landscaping contractor’s new operations manager on Friday. We drove around the neighborhood discussing the contract tasks. He has a thorough understanding of what is required under the contract. He suggested dividing the subdivision into two parts. The crew would work each area on different days allowing them to be a little more focused. He stated that it would be at no additional cost. They work in this area frequently, so it won’t adversely affect their schedule. [Read More]
